INBOUND PLANNING/CUSTOMS COORDINATOR - FULL TIME

What you'll be doing
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute inbound logistics plans to meet the needs of the business .
- Communicate with suppliers to coordinate delivery schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
- Analyse delivery performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve any delivery-related issues.
- Work closely with the buying and warehouse teams to ensure seamless integration of the inbound process.
- Build knowledge and understanding of the import / export requirements of the role.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of inbound logistics processes and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on inbound deliveries and performance metrics.
What you'll be able to demonstrate
Skills and experience
- Good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems to be used in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Capable of working autonomously, solving day to day issues independently.
- Ability to gain a good understanding of how the team integrates and collaborates with other teams to achieve overall objectives of the department.
- Understands procedures and has the capability to evaluate and select the appropriate alternatives from defined options and plans and monitors own work within agreed deadlines. Responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own work. Produces routine reports and other documents from standard templates. Performs a range of activities in a variety of structured environments.
- Have an understanding, ideally a working knowledge of import/export custom declaration.
- Attention to detail is a must as is a positive, get it right, make it work approach to all tasks.
- Strong working knowledge of business systems and Microsoft office applications
- Good verbal and written communication with colleagues and/or customers.
- Level 3, A level or equivalent work experience
